<h1>Available ECU inputs</h1> <div class="level1"> <p> Note that the following lists out all the available inputs on the 1G and 2G DSM ECUs. Most of these have special cases associated with them to be useful as a general purpose analog input. The most freely available inputs are the EGRTemp input on a 1G ECU and the RearO2 and MDP inputs on the 2G ECU. The rest have special cases to consider with them. Some may even require a <a href="/wiki/doku.php?id=ecuinputdata" class="wikilink1" title="ecuinputdata">buffer circuit</a> to be driven properly, depending on which sensors is connected to which input. </p> <p> Reference: <a href="/wiki/doku.php?id=ecuwiringinformation" class="wikilink1" title="ecuwiringinformation">ECU Wiring Docs</a> </p> </div> <h2>1G ECU</h2> <div class="level2"> <ul> <li class="level1"> EGR Temp Input (ECU Pin 15)</li> <li class="level1"> IAT Input (ECU Pin 8) - <b>see IAT/Baro Notes below</b></li> <li class="level1"> Baro Input (ECU Pin 16) - <b>see IAT/Baro Notes below</b></li> <li class="level1"> Front O2 (ECU Pin 4) - <b>Only usable when "Open Loop" option is selected (V2 or V3), or narrowband O2 simulation is enabled (V3 only).</b></li> <li class="level1"> Coolant Temp Input (ECU Pin 20) - <b>(V3 only) - This will leave the car in "Open Loop".</b> "Lock Coolant Temp" must be selected, to work properly.</li> </ul> </div> <h2>2G ECU</h2> <div class="level2"> <ul> <li class="level1"> Rear O2 (ECU Pin 75)</li> <li class="level1"> MDP (ECU Pin 73)</li> <li class="level1"> Baro (ECU Pin 85) - <b>see IAT/Baro Notes below - Has internal pull down resistor making it unsuitable for certain sensors (see <a href="/wiki/doku.php?id=2gbaroinputworkaround" class="wikilink1" title="2gbaroinputworkaround">work around</a>).</b></li> <li class="level1"> IAT (ECU Pin 72) - <b>see IAT/Baro Notes below</b></li> <li class="level1"> Coolant Temp Input (ECU Pin 83) - <b>(V3 only) - This will leave the car in "Open Loop".</b> "Lock Coolant Temp" must be selected, to work properly.</li> </ul> </div> <h1>IAT/Baro Notes</h1> <div class="level1"> <p> In order to free up the IAT and Baro inputs to the ECU, you must be running a non-Mitsubishi style mass airflow sensor. That can either be a GM MAF connected to the ECU with our GM MAF cable or it can be a GM MAF connected to the ECU through a MAF translator. Or it can even be while running speed density mode in ECMLink. </p> <p> The point being that you can NOT log an aftermarket sensor on these inputs if you are running a Mitsubishi style mass airflow sensor (1G DSM, 2G DSM, EVO8). </p> <p> In addition, if you are running a GM MAF with a MAF translator, then you must also make sure you have selected to <a href="/wiki/doku.php?id=ignoreiatbaro" class="wikilink1" title="ignoreiatbaro">Ignore IAT/Baro</a>. </p> </div>
