- | How I prepare my steak is a little different but comes out great.
- | |||
- | Upon getting home from the butcher I let it sit on the counter top at room temp for about 20-25 minutes.
- | |||
- | Then I take some virgin olive oil on each side of the steak and put some crushed black pepper and a little salt (not a big salt person).
- | |||
- | On the stove top I have a stainless steel clad pan that I put virgin olive oil in and let heat up for approx 2-3 minutes until its hot. I toss the steak in and let it seer for 3 minutes and then flip and seer for 3 minutes.
- | |||
- | Then it goes straight into the pre-heated (425*) oven for 6 minutes.
- | |||
- | When it goes into the oven I toss ontop of the steak rosemary and a 1/2 teaspoon of butter.
- | |||
- | Upon removing from the oven I let it sit for about 4 minutes and serve.
- | |||
- | I also do another style of steak witch is basically the same steps but instead of rosemary and butter I put diced habanero peppers. I would only suggest that if you like spicy food. |
