USAGE NOTE: Placing an order for this item effectively establishes a job reference number with us related to some ECU repair or socket work. This order number will serve as our reference number for future communication related to this particular work request. Basic process: You add this item to your cart. Use the comments field during checkout to briefly describe the problem you're having. Then you ship the parts to us along with a printed copy of your order form to the address listed on our contacts page. We'll do the work and return the parts to you using whichever shipping method you chose (and paid for) when you placed this order. PLEASE include a copy of this order when you ship your package to us.

Supported ECUs: We are most comfortable working on turbo model 1990-1996 DSM ECUs. These are found in Mitsubishi Eclipses, Eagle Talons and Plymouth Lasers. We can also work on various other turbo model Mitsubishi ECUs and some non-turbo 1990-1994 Mitsubishi ECUs. But you may want to contact us first to confirm if you have any doubts or concerns.

Costs: We'll examine the parts when they arrive and get back to you via e-mail with an estimate on the work. A simple socket job is a flat charge of 30 minutes ($39). When doing a socket job, we will usually replace capacitors free of charge while we're at it, assuming they have not already leaked and made a mess of things. If they have leaked and require more attention, we'll get in touch with you to determine our course of action.

A general repair or cleanup runs $78/hr in 10-minute increments ($13 per increment), with a minimum of 20 minutes plus return shipping cost. The total bill can be paid in 10-minute increments using the 10-minute work block item. This will be handled after the work is complete.

Shipping: Once you have submitted your order, you can ship the package to us at the following address. PLEASE include a printed copy of your order so we know what to do with the package when it arrives.

Estimate: We can't give an estimate on the repair total until we have seen the ECU ourselves. There are just too many factors involved to make any reasonable guess without physically inspecting the ECU. If the ECU needs more than 60 minutes of work when it arrives, we will advise you of this before we proceed. If it's less than 60 minutes, we will usually go ahead with the work and then contact you for payment when it's done.

Tips: Please include a copy of this order with your parts when you send them in! This can't be stressed enough. It makes our life so much easier if we get the part with the reference all in one package. It also helps tremendously if you can make sure the shipping address used in this order is the address where you would actually like the parts returned to.

non-us shipping: Unfortunately, due to a requirement of the USPS shipping service (our only option for international shipping), we have to charge something for the package or else it will not calculate a shipping option for you and you'll be unable to checkout. To work around this, a $0.10 checkbox option is provided below. You will need to check this option if you want to have the package returned to an address outside the US.
